Women's Empowerment

The Trust is deeply committed to supporting the endeavors of organizations dedicated to the upliftment of women in Maharashtra. One such organization, focused on uniting Below Poverty Line Self Help Groups (BPL SHGs), has garnered significant attention and support from the Trust. These groups play a crucial role in empowering women by providing them with resources, training, and opportunities to improve their socio-economic status. In Maharashtra alone, there are approximately 225,000 active SHGs striving to align themselves with the Yashaswini Samajik Abhiyan, a comprehensive initiative aimed at fostering women's empowerment and self-reliance.

To ensure the effective implementation and coordination of these efforts, the organization has established a robust network of 431 coordinators. This network includes six coordinators at the State level, six at the Division level, 54 at the District level, and 360 at the Taluka level. These coordinators work collaboratively to support the SHGs in achieving their goals, providing guidance, resources, and advocacy to enhance their impact. The Trust's support for this initiative underscores its commitment to creating a more equitable and inclusive society by empowering women from the ground up. Through these collective efforts, the Trust and its partners are making significant strides in transforming the lives of countless women across Maharashtra.
